Katherine Wholey is the Co-Founder of Pink Ladies, but her story began long before that.
Kath is currently the Managing Director of Tanksafe® UK & Americas, an award-winning international company recognized with multiple Queen’s Awards for excellence in the haulage and transport sector. With over 20 years of experience in a traditionally male-dominated industry, Kath has broken barriers and set new standards for leadership and innovation.
Her journey began with a strong commitment to sustainability and efficiency in logistics, leading to groundbreaking initiatives that have transformed operations and enhanced service delivery. As a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Kath actively promotes the advancement of women in transport and business. She mentors young professionals and champions initiatives designed to empower female talent.
Under her leadership, Tanksafe® has expanded its global footprint and earned a reputation for reliability and integrity. Kath is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and public schools, where she shares her insights on leadership, her journey, and the future of transport. Outside of work, Kath enjoys sports, socializing, supporting women, and spending time with her family.

Born in South Africa, Kath immigrated to the UK with her mother at 18. She pursued full-time education while juggling three jobs to earn three degrees in Accounting, Sport Science, and Nutrition.
Kath has used her home to create opportunities for others. Not only did she give birth to both of her children at home, but during the COVID-19 pandemic, she opened her fields under government guidelines to host hockey and fitness coaching for up to 60 children weekly. This initiative helped them maintain their fitness and continue PE during challenging times.
A passionate athlete, Kath is always ready to get involved, even when it leads to mishaps. In just 10 months, she managed to dislocate her shoulder three times in three different countries while playing football, hockey, and surfing.
Nina Barbour
Nina Barbour is the Co-Founder of Pink Ladies, and the Managing Director of Bolesworth Estate, a dynamic rural estate in Cheshire.
Under her leadership, Bolesworth is home to 120 thriving businesses employing over 1,000 people, driving growth and innovation in the region.
A Cambridge University graduate, Nina took the reins of her family business a decade after completing her studies. She has seamlessly blended tradition with forward-thinking strategies, continuing the diversification efforts initiated by her parents, Anthony and Diana, while positioning the estate as a standout in its industry.
Nina’s vision has propelled the success of Bolesworth Events and the internationally renowned Bolesworth International, a world-class equestrian event. This flagship showjumping and premium lifestyle event attracts top riders, industry leaders, and audiences from across the globe. Bolesworth has also been developed to become a premium destination for third party events.
Beyond her professional achievements, Nina is a proud mum to 4-year-old William. She is an international showjumper in her spare time, and a fully qualified HGV driver—proving that no challenge is too big or unconventional for her to tackle, with a commitment to drive a brand that is beyond the expected.
